SENTENCE STRUCTURE:

"...not only...but also..."

Meaning: A way to show two ideas at the same time.

Example: Playing sports helps children not only to stimulate their imagination but also to expand their social circle.

Q. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend most of their time on school studies. Others believe that young children should spend most of their time playing. Compare these two views. Which view do you agree with? Why?

For instance, when children play sports such as basketball and soccer, they can make friends, learn responsibility, and overcome adversity. It helps children not only to stimulate their imagination but also to expand their social circle.

Your Turn! Write sentences using the structure:

1. Exercise: healthy and fun.
2.Travel: interesting and educational.
3. Studying: fulfilling and lucrative.
